Firm Background
Elixir Environmental works exclusively with building product manufacturers to produce high quality material ingredient disclosures such as HPDs. We help clients with material transparency reporting – including supply chain delineation, collection and interpretation of material ingredient information, and completion of the HPD document according to the HPD Open Standard. Elixir serves as the link between a client and HPD Third-Party Verifier, in order to expedite the HPD verification process. We also create LEED Product Documentation, and work with our affiliate company GreenCE to develop, host and present AIA and GBCI Continuing Education for clients.

Experience Summary
Elixir Environmental was founded in 2013 in direct response to the building industry’s growing need for reliable and practical assistance with material ingredient reporting. We have been heavily involved with the HPD Collaborative since its early days, being one of the first third-party organizations to complete HPD verification under version 1.0 of the HPD Open Standard. Elixir Environmental continues to participate in advancing the HPD Open Standard and improving adoption of the HPD in the marketplace.

Firm Background
Labeling Sustainability specializes in the transparency documentation manufacturers need to put their products in front of the top architecture. Labeling Sustainability understands the A&D market from all angles because the owner, Denice Staaf, is a former interior designer, successful manufacturer territory sales representative, and a LEED AP since 2002. She started Labeling Sustainability at the urging of a furniture company CEO who claimed she was such a great asset to manufacturers because she understood their business.

Experience Summary
Labeling Sustainability specializes in transparency documentation such as Health Product Declarations (HPDs) and Type III Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), as well as ISO 14067 Carbon Footprint of Products studies. Labeling Sustainability is an EPD program operator and can host EPDs through their program. An HPD is invaluable because it helps manufacturers understand what their products are made from and their consequences on human health. Performing a product HPD report is a rewarding experience that may influence a manufacturer’s future material and supply chain decisions and ultimately put them on the path towards a more sustainable product.
