“We could not be more encouraged by the strength of the 2017 HPDC Board, with the diverse capabilities of our new members joining with those of our existing leadership,” said Amanda Kaminsky, Board Chair.
The organization’s bylaws were amended in 2016 to expand the Board from thirteen to fifteen members. The added seats provide an additional Board seat in both ecosystem and manufacturing member categories. Board terms were also lengthened from two to three years, with staggered terms distributed among members. The 2017 Board will have its first meeting in February 2017, at which time it will elect officers.
The growth of the HPDC Board reflects the growing membership of the organization, which has expanded from 25 to over 125 member organizations since September 2015. Individual participants now number over 300, representing a diverse blend of architects, designers, construction, engineering, property developers/owners/managers, product manufacturers and supporting companies in the consulting, informatics, research, advocacy and other fields.
The adoption of the HPD Open Standard for reporting of building product content and associated health information is also growing rapidly within the building industry. The recently introduced HPD Public Repository already has over 1,800 HPDs publicly available for search and download – at no cost to users.
