Materials ToolSuite™

Expanded Data Scope

A dataset for the materials attributes the HPD Open Standard does not specify, so one disclosure can carry the multi-attribute data that rating systems and procurement programs now ask for.

What it is

The Expanded Data Scope covers product attributes beyond material health: the certifications, ratings, and documentation that LEED v5, Works with WELL, and similar programs use. It can be published alongside an HPD or on its own, and, like every HPDC tool, it is built to be simple, low-cost, and easy for manufacturers to use.

In HPD Builder, the Expanded Data Scope is what powers the LEED v5 scoring tool and the Works with WELL PreCheck: enter your documentation once, and see how the HPDs you already have align with each program.

Open HPD Builder Using HPDs for LEED Works with WELL

See it live: HPD Builder demo, every other Tuesday

Join HPDC Technical Manager Millali Marcano for a 30-minute live demo of what's new in HPD Builder: the LEED v5 scoring tool, the Works with WELL PreCheck, and one dashboard for all your declarations. Whether you publish one HPD or a hundred, this is what the HPDs you already have can do for you now. Free and open to manufacturers, HPD consultants, and anyone working on materials transparency.

Next session: Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 2:00–2:30 PM ET. The session repeats every other Tuesday; join whenever it fits.

Where the data goes

Published Expanded Data Scope records are distributed through the HPD Public Repository and the HPDC Data Partners API, the same open-data infrastructure that carries HPDs into product libraries and workflow tools.
